About Animate!

If you're here, you probably already know that Animate! Ohio State is OSU's resident anime club. We meet every other friday for a six hour showing in the building next to the Math Tower.

Our official purpose is to "To foster an apprection of Japanese popular culture through showings of Japanese animated films ('Anime') and related popular media," which basically boils down to we watch anime at our showings. But we aren't really limited to anime. We also show live action Japanese movies on occassion, and would be open to suggestions that fall within our purpose statement.

We have also recently reinstituted anime trivia contests, and we hold various anime-related events throughout the year. And our showings are always a great opportunity to meet new people with similar interests.

For the official version of how we run things, you can head over to the constitution and club bylaws. But an even better way would be to simply come to a showing, or ask an officer.
